I don’t know if it was a coincidence or not, but hours later a company emailed me through the site looking for business partners in Japan. (Please let me know if you know of anyone in the food business in Japan).
The template has lots of different module positions, allowing some interesting Adsense placements. A good template with Joomla makes it so simple to move ads around on a site to experiment.
I don’t spend much time on the site but still makes a nice little income. I know the logo looks crap, so please let me know if anyone can create something better!
I thought that I started it last year, but doing a search on my blog found that I actually started it in 2005! Older sites tend to do better in search engines, as they become more ‘trusted’. I would like to develop the site into more of a Japan portal site, like gaijinpot.com.
I think the domain is very ‘brandable’ and I am hoping that one day I can sell the site to a recruiting or HR professional company.
