Where is the best place to retire

August 4, 2007

Where is the best place to retire? Mexico? Thailand? I am sure everyone has there own opinion, so I have added a poll to my site.

You can see it on the left side of my blog, you may need to scroll down a bit to see it. It is a bit of fun, but I am trying to experiment with a bit of stuff here on my blog.

I think there is more to this question than just simply the best place to retire. What age are you when you retire, how much $ do you have, etc. Sure I like the idea of a .12 beer in some other place, but culture is probably more important than sheer cheapness upon retirement.

Yes, I couldn’t agree more. I am just trying out a couple ideas like this and if it works out, I am planning on having more information on places to retire to, both around the world in the US and how people can set themselves up to retire early.

Hey, very interesting site. I found my way here from the 30DC forum. I must say i was motivated when reading your site and especially when i saw your `my other sites` section with a site i have visited maybe once a week for the last year since i have lived in Japan, Tokyo Essentials! … noice work with everything you`re doing … i`ll spend lots more time on your site when time permits.

I can’t answer the poll until I have visited all the destinations!

I had a blast this summer, having gone to New York, Boston, Baltimore, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Greece and Iceland.

Not really my idea of places to retire, but I am having fun looking!
