Social Networks in Japan

February 25, 2006

I have just signed up to Mixi - Japan’s largest social network site. Something like myspace.

It is by invitation only, so if anyone wants to join, please send me an email.

Another site which looks interesting is: Blog-Kai

Online Communities: Designing Usability and Supporting Sociability

    Dear Mike,

I found your site through Google, in hopes of finding a way to get a Mixi account.

I will be working as a student intern for Sanyo in Osaka from June and I have been thinking of getting more in touch with the Japanese community by getting into Mixi. If it would not be too much trouble for you, could you please send me an invitation? Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Boon-Hau

    Hello Mike.

I ll be moving from Montreal to Osaka in a month and think Mixi might be a fun place to ask a few questions, meet people and get the lay of the land. It’d be really appreciated if you’d send me an invitation. My email is butterflow@hotmail.com

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Mike,

I just got back to America from the Bahamas, where I had met alot of Japanese. They told me about mixi and I’d really like to try it out to hone my nihongo.

Could you please send me an invite to ju7b69@aol.com?

    Thanks,

Got something to say?
