I just sold some advertisng space on one of my sites today. They wanted a discount for advertising long term, which I was happy to give. There is nothing worse than trying to send out invoices every month. To receive the money in one hit is a real bonus.
The company wanted advertising for two separate websites. When we were negotiating the figure on the phone, I thought it was for both of their websites. The other party thought it was for each website. I couldn’t contain my excitement when the money came through.
It just gives me further faith in my future website plans. I think I am going to buy myself a new 8GB nano for Christmas. I also want to get one of these:

Something similar happened to me… a company wanted to put a link up on both of my sites, and wanted to pay me X amount for each site… whereas I would have been just as happy getting X for both sites combined… that was pretty awesome!
Glad to see I am not the only one! I think I need to improve my sales skills!
