Ebay to offer contextual advertising

It is probably not much of a surprise but eBay have announced that they are launching a contextual advertising program.

I don’t know if it will suit any of my current sites, but I think I could start a new site with all of the pictures and information I still have from when I used to be into eBay.

    I’ll be interested in seeing how this works for them. It seems it would be a fairly small market and the rates they would pay would be much less than adsense (since you have a much smaller number of advertisers bidding on the words). It’s getting a lot of hype in the media, but I don’t think it’s going to be much of a success (and I made my living on eBay for awhile)
