Day 1 of the 30 Day Challenge

It is now Day 1 of the 30 Day Challenge. This is where I now need to come up with an idea for a product. In past challenges people have written ebooks to sell. This year the focus seems like it will be on a video or audio product.

Videos seem to be a great way to build a product. The problem with ebooks, is that you might have a great idea, but it can be difficult to follow through with completing it. This is a problem I am currently facing. You can have a lot more fun producing a video. Also for people buying the product, even though it might take some convincing to actually purchase a video, they are going to be more likely to watch the whole thing. I think the percentage of people who buy ebooks and read the whole thing must be fairly low. I know that for me, I find it difficult to read a book on my computer.

Since you can get so many great videos and podcasts for free, your sales pitch is going to have to be pretty compelling, with an original product.

Some ideas could include:

- a how to video using your own skills
- a how to video displaying someone else’s skills
- interviews with successful people, entrepreneurs
- camtasia showing how to do something on your computer
- sell someone else’s product as an affiliate

I am currently writing an ebook, which I suppose I could create a camtasia video version. I am currently in Thailand, so that is another angle I could take.
