To run JReviews, you need a server with joomla installed. Can anyone recommend a good joomla host?

My biggest concern with user review sites is that typically they are empty of reviews unless its for a big site or something.

Jaro, I have seen some review sites that are WP blogs, but I didn’t see many people commenting. If you want the reviews to be the main part of your site, I would suggest using something like reviewsforjoomla. I think many people are use to amazon type reviews, so if your users are typically non-blogging type people it could be a way to go.

Nice idea! I’m running a computer service business and I know that most of my customers tend to read the reviews and compare a product from internet before buying. However, in my country, online buying is not popular. If not, you would have buy it from those review site.

Sound like this is a kind of business opportunity for me and my business

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been thinking for some time to set up a website where people could review certain products (sorry, don’t want to reveal beforehand ). I’ve been thinking what system to use and in the end I came up with an idea that basically any blogging software will do. A comment won’t be called a comment but it will be called a review. Yeah, there wouldn’t probably be any rating system but I don’t think it’s necessary.

What do you think about this idea?
